Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A Hillside Pasture, Pennsylvania by Arthur Parton for USD 1,912.00 (€ 1,935.42). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Parton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lake Scene in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 27,956.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Hillside Pasture, Pennsylvania von Arthur Parton für USD 1.912,00 (€ 1.935,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Parton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lake Scene im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 27.956,99).
