The »bidding war« ended at USD 701.25 (€ 661.43), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Okamura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work When the Moon is Black in February this year with an auction result of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29).

Die Arbeit Landscape von Arthur Okamura wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 661,43) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Okamura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit When the Moon is Black im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29).
