However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Okamura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work When the Moon is Black, which sold at auction in February this year for USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29).

Die Arbeit Greengrove von Arthur Okamura kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.083,75 (€ 1.022,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Okamura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit When the Moon is Black beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29) versteigert wurde.
