Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird Spaces by Arthur Okamura was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 892.50 (€ 841.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Okamura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work When the Moon is Black in February this year with an auction result of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird Spaces von Arthur Okamura kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 892,50 (€ 841,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Okamura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit When the Moon is Black im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29).
