Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 113,700.00 (€ 129,401.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur John Elsley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Hours in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 831,000.00 (€ 979,259.96).
