Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur John Elsley could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Art auction, the work British friend Or Foe? changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,624.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur John Elsley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Hours in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 831,000.00 (€ 979,259.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur John Elsley konnte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
