Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life, Camellias by Arthur Murch was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. The price achieved of AUD 1,762.50 (€ 993.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Murch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Crouching Female Figure, which sold at auction in November 2009 for AUD 6,300.00 (€ 3,841.60).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.762,50 (€ 993,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Murch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Crouching Female Figure beobachtet, die im November 2009 für AUD 6.300,00 (€ 3.841,60) versteigert wurde.
