Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Monterey Oaks by Arthur Hill Gilbert was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,212.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hill Gilbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hills of Carmel Highlands, Overlooking Mt. Doud, Big Sur, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 27,575.00 (€ 23,102.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Monterey Oaks von Arthur Hill Gilbert wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.212,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hill Gilbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hills of Carmel Highlands, Overlooking Mt. Doud, Big Sur beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 27.575,00 (€ 23.102,38) versteigert wurde.
