In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Landscape with California Live Oak sold for USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,648.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Hill Gilbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hills of Carmel Highlands, Overlooking Mt. Doud, Big Sur in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 27,575.00 (€ 23,102.38).
