Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work The harbour, St Ives by Arthur Hayward. The price achieved of GBP 2,270.50 (€ 3,431.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hayward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Harbour At Polperro, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,693.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The harbour, St Ives von Arthur Hayward zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.270,50 (€ 3.431,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hayward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Harbour At Polperro beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.693,66) versteigert wurde.
