In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Fishing boats by the harbour wall, St Ives by Arthur Hayward. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,748.36), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hayward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Harbour At Polperro, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,693.66).

Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing boats by the harbour wall, St Ives von Arthur Hayward zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.748,36) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hayward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Harbour At Polperro beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.693,66) versteigert wurde.
