Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work St Ives Harbour, Cornwall by Arthur Hayward was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,419.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hayward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Harbour At Polperro, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,693.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit St Ives Harbour, Cornwall von Arthur Hayward kam im März 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.419,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hayward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Harbour At Polperro beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.693,66) versteigert wurde.
