Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Hayward could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work Boats moored in a harbour changed hands for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,826.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Hayward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Harbour At Polperro, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,693.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Hayward konnte im März 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Boats moored in a harbour für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.826,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Hayward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Harbour At Polperro beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.693,66) versteigert wurde.
