In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Woman By The Sea by Arthur Grover Rider. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,649.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Grover Rider have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 187,575.00 (€ 170,074.35).
