Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Grover Rider could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Figures outside Taxco Cathedral changed hands for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,241.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Grover Rider achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 187,575.00 (€ 170,074.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Grover Rider konnte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Figures outside Taxco Cathedral für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.241,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Grover Rider erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.575,00 (€ 170.074,35).
