Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 50,775.00 (€ 49,186.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Grover Rider - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 187,575.00 (€ 170,074.35).
