In March 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Fishing Boat by Arthur Grover Rider. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Grover Rider have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 187,575.00 (€ 170,074.35).

Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fishing Boat von Arthur Grover Rider zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Grover Rider auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bringing in the Boat 29 1/4 x 33 1/4in im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.575,00 (€ 170.074,35).
