Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village Of La Lude by Arthur Bowen Davies was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 1,000.00 (€ 883.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Bowen Davies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heart's Hansel in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
