Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work The Dancer by Arthur Bowen Davies for USD 1,063.00 (€ 963.56). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Bowen Davies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heart's Hansel in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Dancer von Arthur Bowen Davies für USD 1.063,00 (€ 963,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00.
