Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Indian Sale, which included the work Trapper by Arpana Caur. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,127.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arpana Caur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resilient Green, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Indian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trapper von Arpana Caur zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.127,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arpana Caur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resilient Green beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.002,85) versteigert wurde.
