A top price for Arpana Caur - as previously expected
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Indian Art, which included the work Resilient Green by Arpana Caur. It changed hands for a price of USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Resilient Green is the most expensive artwork by Arpana Caur that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Indian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Resilient Green von Arpana Caur zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.002,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Resilient Green das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arpana Caur, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
