Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Body Is Just A Garment by Arpana Caur was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,494.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arpana Caur - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resilient Green, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 49,000.00 (€ 31,002.85).

Die Arbeit Body Is Just A Garment von Arpana Caur kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.494,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arpana Caur mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resilient Green beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 49.000,00 (€ 31.002,85) versteigert wurde.
