The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arnold Marc Gorter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer; Winter in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).

Die Arbeit Herfst: cattle by the Vordense beek von Arnold Marc Gorter kam im Februar 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer; Winter im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18).
