Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Cattle on a Sunlit Path by Arnold Marc Gorter. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arnold Marc Gorter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer; Winter in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle on a Sunlit Path von Arnold Marc Gorter zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer; Winter im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18).
