Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Cows Grazing Near The Vordense Beek by Arnold Marc Gorter was sold in the 19th Century Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arnold Marc Gorter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer; Winter in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch Cows Grazing Near The Vordense Beek von Arnold Marc Gorter wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer; Winter im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18).
