The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,850.00 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arnold Marc Gorter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer; Winter, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 70,500.00 (€ 32,358.18).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.850,00 und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arnold Marc Gorter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer; Winter beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 70.500,00 (€ 32.358,18) versteigert wurde.
