Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nu assis (recto; verso) by Aristide Maillol was auctioned at Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass in October this year. The price achieved of EUR 6,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aristide Maillol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Riviere, 1938-1943 in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 6,033,500.00.

Die Arbeit Nu assis (recto; verso) von Aristide Maillol kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aristide Maillol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Riviere, 1938-1943 im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.033.500,00.
