In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections, which included the work Composizione Astratta by Aref Al Rayyes. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,399.95), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aref Al Rayyes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Visions of the Third World, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,725.39).

Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composizione Astratta von Aref Al Rayyes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.399,95) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Aref Al Rayyes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Visions of the Third World beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.725,39) versteigert wurde.
