Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work Abstract by Aref Al Rayyes. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,767.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Aref Al Rayyes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Visions of the Third World in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,725.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract von Aref Al Rayyes zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.767,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref Al Rayyes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Visions of the Third World im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.725,39).
