Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Together by Antony Gormley. The price achieved of GBP 1,270.00 (€ 2,125.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Together von Antony Gormley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.270,00 (€ 2.125,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
