Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work The Way To Calvary by Antonio Tempesta. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,948.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Tempesta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Réconciliation De Jacob Et Esaü in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 85,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Way To Calvary von Antonio Tempesta zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.948,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Tempesta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Réconciliation De Jacob Et Esaü im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 85.800,00.
