Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which included the work Landscape With A Stag Hunt by Antonio Stom. The price achieved of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,502.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Stom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Molo, Venice, looking west with the reception of the Papal Nuncio Carlo Gaetano Stampa (1667–1742), later Cardinal-Archbishop of Milan, at the Doge's Palace on 15 July 1721 in December last year with an auction result of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 156,465.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With A Stag Hunt von Antonio Stom zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.502,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Stom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Molo, Venice, looking west with the reception of the Papal Nuncio Carlo Gaetano Stampa (1667–1742), later Cardinal-Archbishop of Milan, at the Doge's Palace on 15 July 1721 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 156.465,90).
