In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Capriccio Coastal View With Elegant Buildings, A Bridge In The Distance, And Figures On Loaded Boats In The Foreground by Antonio Stom. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,251.12), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Stom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Molo, Venice, looking west with the reception of the Papal Nuncio Carlo Gaetano Stampa (1667–1742), later Cardinal-Archbishop of Milan, at the Doge's Palace on 15 July 1721 in December last year with an auction result of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 156,465.90).

Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Capriccio Coastal View With Elegant Buildings, A Bridge In The Distance, And Figures On Loaded Boats In The Foreground von Antonio Stom zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 30.251,12) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Stom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Molo, Venice, looking west with the reception of the Papal Nuncio Carlo Gaetano Stampa (1667–1742), later Cardinal-Archbishop of Milan, at the Doge's Palace on 15 July 1721 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 156.465,90).
