Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Pan and Syrinx by Antonio Maria Vassallo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,170.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Antonio Maria Vassallo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2012 the work A Forest Floor Still Life With A Dog, A Cockerel, Horse Chestnuts And A Melon; A Forest Floor Still Life With Figs, Pears, Melons, Apricots And Cucumbers was auctioned for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,474.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pan and Syrinx von Antonio Maria Vassallo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.170,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Antonio Maria Vassallo konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2012 die Arbeit A Forest Floor Still Life With A Dog, A Cockerel, Horse Chestnuts And A Melon; A Forest Floor Still Life With Figs, Pears, Melons, Apricots And Cucumbers für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 25.474,62) versteigert.
