Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Convento by Antonio Donghi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 32,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Donghi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ragazzi Alla Finestra in April 2018 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Convento von Antonio Donghi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 32.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Donghi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ragazzi Alla Finestra im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
