Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flora incoronata by Antonio Balestra was auctioned at Christies in Rome in December 2004. The price achieved of EUR 28,520.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonio Balestra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hercules and Omphale in January this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 116,043.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flora incoronata von Antonio Balestra kam im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 28.520,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Balestra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hercules and Omphale im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 116.043,47).
