It achieved a price of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,434.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anton van Anrooy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Olympic Games, Amsterdam sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,477.49).
