Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View Of York by Anton Pieck was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,440.00. Admittedly, works by Anton Pieck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View Of York von Anton Pieck im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.440,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Pieck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
