Auction result well in line with expectations
The work De Scheveningse weg by Anton Pieck was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Pieck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit De Scheveningse weg von Anton Pieck kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Pieck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
