In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work The Story Telling Of Queen Scheherazade To King Shahryar by Anton Pieck. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anton Pieck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of EUR 13,750.00.

Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Story Telling Of Queen Scheherazade To King Shahryar von Anton Pieck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.000,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anton Pieck; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice im Oktober 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 13.750,00.
