Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The 776St Night, The Story Of Farizad With The Rose Smile; The Old Man Under The Tree by Anton Pieck was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,360.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Anton Pieck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.

Die Arbeit The 776St Night, The Story Of Farizad With The Rose Smile; The Old Man Under The Tree von Anton Pieck wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.360,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Pieck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
