Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,760.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Pieck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 13,750.00.

Die Arbeit The 107St Night, The Story Of Aziz And Aziza; The Vizir Entering The White City von Anton Pieck kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.760,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Pieck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Winter Fun On The Ice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
