Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lighthouse at Stora Bält by Anton Melbye was sold in the Autumn Classic Sale, Stockholm auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2013. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 75,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 80,000.00 (€ 9,034.04). Admittedly, works by Anton Melbye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Det franske Skruelinieskib Napoleon paa Rheden af Beikos i Bosperus” in March this year with an auction result of DKK 300,000.00 (€ 40,259.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lighthouse at Stora Bält von Anton Melbye wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Autumn Classic Sale, Stockholm bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 75.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 80.000,00 (€ 9.034,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Melbye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Det franske Skruelinieskib Napoleon paa Rheden af Beikos i Bosperus” im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 300.000,00 (€ 40.259,38).
