Despite a disappointment, a good price for Anton Dircks
When the work Sailing-vessels and gondolas, Venice by Anton Dircks was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,250.00. Despite this disappointing result, Sailing-vessels and gondolas, Venice is the most expensive artwork by Anton Dircks that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Anton Dircks
Als die Arbeit Sailing-vessels and gondolas, Venice von Anton Dircks im Februar 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.250,00 den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Sailing-vessels and gondolas, Venice das teuerste Kunstwerk von Anton Dircks, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
