This artwork by Antoine Vestier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2020. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work Portrait of a lady, traditionally identifed as the Comtesse de Provence sold for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 4,926.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Vestier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autoportrait De L'Artiste in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 119,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antoine Vestier erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, traditionally identifed as the Comtesse de Provence für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 4.926,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoine Vestier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autoportrait De L'Artiste im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 119.600,00.
