This artwork by Émile-Antoine Bourdelle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2020. In the British and European Art auction, the work Vénus à sa toilette, tête height: 5½ in. (14 cm.) sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,131.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile-Antoine Bourdelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Héraklès Archer, Huitième Étude Dite "Modèle Intermédiaire Définitif" in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 373,500.00.
