Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Preparing the nets by Anthonie Pieter Schotel was sold in the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2005. The price achieved of EUR 1,680.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthonie Pieter Schotel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 18,250.00.

Die Arbeit Preparing the nets von Anthonie Pieter Schotel wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.680,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthonie Pieter Schotel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.250,00.
