Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthonie Pieter Schotel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 18,250.00.

Die Arbeit An Amsterdam canal von Anthonie Pieter Schotel wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthonie Pieter Schotel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rush hour on the Place de L'Opéra, Paris beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für EUR 18.250,00 versteigert wurde.
