Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing On A Calm Stretch of Water; And Harvest Time by Anthonie Jacobus van Wyngaerdt was sold in the 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,077.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
