Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terwijl je om een beetje liefde bedelt.... by Ans Wortel was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 478.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ans Wortel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Als een vis zal ik je dragen...., which sold at auction in July 2003 for EUR 1,314.50.

Die Arbeit Terwijl je om een beetje liefde bedelt.... von Ans Wortel wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 478,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ans Wortel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Als een vis zal ik je dragen.... beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für EUR 1.314,50 versteigert wurde.
